The Half Rabbits are releasing a new three-track download EP, ‘Machine Triumphant’, on their own Punk Elvis label, on Friday 18 November. They’re marking the occasion with a release gig on the day, which will take place at the Jericho Tavern in Oxford. The gig, organised by Daisy Rodgers Music Promotion, will see The Half Rabbits headline, with support from Deer Chicago and The Graceful Slicks. Anybody who buys an advance ticket will get a free CD at the gig – not the new EP, but a collection of previously-unreleased tracks.
The ‘Machine Triumphant’ EP includes the tracks ‘Burn’, ‘Uplift’ and ‘Aviator’, which were recorded with Pat Collier, who The Half Rabbits have worked with previously, and who has also worked on releases from the likes of Primal Scream and The Jesus & Mary Chain. Separately to this release, The Half Rabbits have also been out on a couple of very-early-morning-in-the-countryside shoots for a video for their track ‘Gasoline’, which will be completed and out there very soon.
