Still very much inveterate anti-corporates, forming in 1978 and originally described as a cross between the Sex Pistols and The Ventures, the long-running punks Dead Kennedys are today considered one of the first American Hardcore bands to make a significant impact on the UK with their highly unique style of punk rock, bearing traces of surf music, spaghetti western, psychedelic rock, garage rock and rockabilly.
