Anton Barbeau’s album launch gig switched

Anton Barbeau, Oxford’s finest purveor of Californian psychedelia launches his new album this Saturday, not at the Jericho, as advertised, but at the Wheatsheaf. Also on the bill are promising indie kids Empire Safari and female-fronted electronic rockers The Halcyons. Doors at 8 as always.

    When we booked Dog Party for our show on 26/9/09 he told us that would be his LP launch. he seems to have booked about 3 different ones round town, the lying bugger!

    Still, he is ace, tho, so why not go to all of them, they’ll doubtless all have different Anton lineups- this one on Saturday, & then our one at the end of the month with top backing band Dog Party. It’s Barbocalypse!

    Yeah, think the Dog Party show will be an album launch for Schnauser’s album Everything Is Nice. Hope it’s not Barbeauverkill…
