Audioscope raises £20,000 for Shelter

Audioscope have announced that their 2009 festival raised £1,000 for Shelter, taking the total donated to the homelessness charity to more than £20,000 since 2001. The festival celebrates ten years in business this year, with a range of special events planned for November this year.

Audioscope’s Music For A Good Home album is now on sale on iTunes here, and is also available for £10 from here. It features new and exclusive recordings from some of the best bands and artists Audioscope have brought to Oxford in recent years, and all profits go to Shelter.

Four Tet’s track, titled ‘Audioscope’, was written especially for the release, while Mercury Prize nominees Maps chose to record a Bob Dylan track that songwriter James Chapman felt was particularly appropriate to support Shelter. Damo Suzuki’s track is taken from his 2009 performance at the Truck Festival, which featured members of Ride and Ash as his backing band. The full tracklisting is:
