Free music and remix project from ex-Magazine member

Local record label Fourier Transform has teamed up with Bob Dickinson, Magazine’s original keyboard player and collaborator with Cabaret Voltaire, to release the constituent elements of a new work and invite remix contributions from the public.

The work, ‘Rendition’, commissioned by the Firebird Trust and composed for The Komposit Orchestra, references the enforced movement and handing over of suspected terrorists by the US government alongside the traditional meaning of ‘rendition’ as a realisation of a musical score. The evolution and democratisation of the piece will take the form of contributed remixes, which will be subsequently showcased by Dickinson and Fourier Transform. An initial reading of the work, the Internment mix, has been contributed by David Perks, aka ‘Sleepy HeAd’.
