‘They’re finally letting their music do the talking and the music has found the backbone to make an impact’… so said our review of Secret Rivals’ ‘Start Fires’ EP. That EP is due out in late October and marks the band’s debut hook-up with Reading-based Josaka Records, who have also released records by Ben Marwood, The Wookies, Rebus and more.
It’s a three-track EP featuring ‘It Would Be Colder Here Without You’, ‘Slow Learner’ and ‘Prone to Explosions’. Find out more about the release, and hear some of the tracks, as Secret Rivals pop up on BBC Berkshire’s Introducing show this Sunday. If you like what you hear, you can catch Secret Rivals at the Port Mahon in Oxford on 24 September, or supporting Wilder at the Jericho Tavern in Oxford on 5 October.
