The increasingly widely-regarded and respected ‘local boys done good’ Stornoway continue their habit for doing nice, interesting things. They’ve just released their contribution to 4AD’s ongoing Sessions, following up on previous sessions from Deerhunter, Tune-Yards, Efterklang and Ariel Pink’s Haunted Graffiti.
Their Session comprises four new recordings of tracks from Beachcomber’s Windowsill – ‘Fuel Up’, ‘On The Rocks’, ‘Here Comes The Blackout’ and ‘Watching Birds’. It’s presented in glorious HD video, which was shot at The Rotunda in Oxford. Very high production values to go with the very good music.
There’s a sample video below, and visit the 4AD Sessions website to find out more and see the full set. Oh, and don’t forget to shuffle on over to Stornoway’s website.
