Vixens - Mirrors

Debut EP from Vixens

Some time ago MusicInOxford.co.uk called Vixens ‘dark-indie rockers’, coining a new musical genre that we notice has not yet been taken up by the masses. According to their MySpace page, they are ‘Post punk/Alternative/Melodramatic Popular Song’.

Whatever, you’ll soon be able make up your own mind and label them accordingly, as Vixens are releasing their debut EP on 4 October. ‘Mirrors’ will be put out by Yoyo Acapulco Records, and consist of four tracks – ‘These Hearts They Cannot Love’, ‘K1′, ‘Pandora’ and ‘Action/Speak’. It’ll be available in limited quantities on CD, and, through the usual download outlets, in unlimited digital quantities.

Want to check out what they’re like live, before plonking down your hard-earning wonga? You could do worse than popping along to Oxford’s O2 Academy on 25 September, where Vixens will be supporting The Winchell Riots, along with The Rock of Travolta and Minutes.
