Free download from The Rock Of Travolta, tenth anniversary carry-on

Kind reader; indulge me, and answer me these questions three: (1) Do you like The Rock Of Travolta, and their strident, cheeky electroid-rock instrumentals? (2) Do you like free stuff? (3) Do you really like it, do you really like it – is it is it wicked?

If your answer to number three is ‘we’re lovin’ it, lovin’ it, lovin’ it’, you get a gold star. But that’s immaterial. It’s the first two questions that you should be concerned with. If you’re in the affirmative about either of them, then you might be interested to know that The Rock Of Travolta recently made available a free download of their new single, ‘Last March of the Acolytes’.

To grab the freebie, sign up to the band’s mailing list, and bam! It’s yours. It’s worthwhile signing up, too, because TROT will shortly be beginning a campaign of releases to mark the tenth anniversary of their debut album, My Band’s Better Than Yours. There will be two digital albums, covering the first ten years of the band’s Star Wars-obsessed, synthesiser-bothering life, and they’ll be followed by a new album, Fine Lines, which will be out both digitally and as actual real physical things what you can hold in your hand and put on your shelf.

Find out more at the band’s website, or as the mood takes you, their MySpace page. There’s also a fantastic photographic/pictorial archive of the first ten years of the band available – well worth a look.
