On 27 February there’s a special fund-raising gig at the Bullingdon Arms in Oxford, to raise money for the Oxfordshire Anti Cuts Alliance. Starting from 7.00 pm, you can support the cause and also check out live performances from Mr Shaodow, The Mighty Redox, Thin Green Candles and Ally Craig. There will also be DJing in between the acts from Thin Green Candles’ Fred Toon, who tells us he’ll be spinning ‘the best protest music’!
Entry is just £6, or £4 for students and those not earning a wage. As well as raising money, it’s also an attempt to garner support for the March For The Alternative event that’ll take place in London on 26 March. The march, organised by the TUC, will bring together groups like Oxfordshire Anti Cuts Alliance, and individuals, to unite against the spending cuts proposed by the Government.
