Spikefest is a helluva gig that’s been organised by Skeletor Promotions, who have over the past year or so presented a series of top-quality gigs for the metalheads of Oxford. It’ll take place on Saturday 16 April, running from 7.00 pm to 1.30 am, and the bargainous £6 entry fee (or £7 on the door) will also get you free entry to the Room 101 club night that follows the live music.
Here are the bands playing; representing all that’s healthy about Oxford’s metal scene right now:
- Desert Storm
- Taste My Eyes
- Terrathorn
- Prospekt
- Galleons
- Dedlok
- Crysis
- Aethara
You want more stuff for your ticket money? Oh, go on then. On the night, every drink bought – even the non-alcoholic ones, although it’s hard to believe any of those will be consumed at such an event – will get you a raffle ticket. Once the live music is done, a ticket will be selected at random and its holder will snag two free weekend camping tickets to the Sonisphere festival, worth £380!
Heavy metal raffle! What’s next? Heavy metal cake stall? Find out more and buy Spikefest tickets here.
