Upside Down – The Creation Records Story is a feature-length movie covering the independent record label Creation. It documents the label’s journey from the early 1980s through to the early 2000s, taking in the Primal Scream, Jesus And Mary Chain and Oasis – the second two latterly featuring musicians from Oxford – along with legendary Oxford exports like Ride and Swervedriver.

The film is being screened at the Ultimate Picture Palace on 10 June, at a special event including a Q&A session. As well as the film’s director, Danny O’Connor, being on hand to answer questions, the session will also include Ride’s Mark Gardener. Find out, straight from the proverbial horse’s mouth, some juicy secrets about being in a band at the height of Britpop and a somewhat insane couple of years at Creation!
