Well done The Winchell Riots, who have just been confirmed as part of the line-up for the BBC Introducing stage at this year’s Reading and Leeds festivals. This is the latest in an impressively long line of Oxford band appearances at major events this year!
The Reading and Leeds festivals take place over 26-28 August, and The Winchell Riots will no doubt be hanging out backstage with no end of big names that are also appearing over the weekend. Look forward to a Winchell Riots/My Chemical Romance split single perhaps, or maybe news of Phil McMinn having a punch-up with Beady Eye’s Liam Gallagher. Anything could happen.
There will be a warm-up show at The Cellar in Oxford on Thursday 25 August – no further details available about that available at this point – so make sure you’re there if you can’t get to Reading or Leeds.
