Nightshift, August 2011

Nightshift – August 2011 issue out now, with Ute interview, Cornbury review and more

“Stone me, sunshine, you’ve only gorn and done it again!”

That’s just one of the things that could be said to Nightshift, if it were a person and not a music magazine. For they have done it again – collated all there is to say about Oxford music this month into one handy set of printed pages. It’s the August 2011 issue of Nightshift, and it’s available in shops and venues throughout Oxfordshire as well as in a downloadable form.

This month there’s a great interview with Ute, and there are reviews of new releases from Tamara & the Martyrs, Matthew Kilford, Fixers, K-Lacura, Pedro deVasconcelos, From The Millhouse and Trevor Williams. There are live reviews including lot of Cornbury Festival coverage, and round-ups of news and gigs for the month. This issue’s Demos section has Release The Bats as its demo of the month, and Fourwalls in the Demo Dumper.
