The new Ley Lines festival, which we reported on recently, has released details of the first few acts they’ve booked for the multi-venue event that takes place on 15 October.
In a veritable takeover of the O2 Academy, the event is bringing Jamie Woon to the main O2 Academy venue, along with Futures who will appear at O2 Academy 2 (aka ‘the bit upstairs at the O2′). As well as those two, a few more musical announcements have been unveiled:
- ∆ Alt J
- Anothers Blood
- Catherine A.D.
- Hyetal
- Man Without Country
- Melé
- Theme Park
As they always say for these things, more acts will be announced soon. Hopefully they’ll include some of the overflowing crop of talent Oxford has around right now, to show these outsiders what we’ve got going on ’round ‘ere…
Oh, and ‘∆ Alt J’ may be the most annoying name for a band so far. They win a cookie.
