Radiohead Were Here

‘Radiohead Were Here’ film with a variety of Oxford bands

Radiohead Were Here is a short film produced and directed by local filmmaker Ling Low. Its description on the film’s blog says it best:

Radiohead Were Here is a short film about one man’s quest to shop in Waitrose in peace. It’s also a homage to one of the greatest British bands of all time. It’s also love song to Oxford’s local music scene, as told by the people who know it best. But really, it’s just some funny stories about stalking Thom Yorke.”

There are interviews and bits of footage from Spring Offensive, Ben Phillips, The Scholars, Empire Safari, Inlight and Little Fish scattered throughout, as well as a few snippets of Radiohead trivia. If Radiohead/Thom Yorke wasn’t worried about creepy local musicians following him around before seeing this, he certainly will be afterwards…

Here’s the film. What do you think?

I like the film – thanks for sharing it. I’ve lived in Oxford for 6 years and definitely have my own Thom Yorke stories. I’m sure a lot of people who live here do!

Is that band Empire Safari members of the royal family?

That’s my car – outside the O2 – are you stalking me?
