The literary collective Eight Cuts are teaming up with Blackwell’s Bookshop in Oxford to present an evening of up-and-coming literature. The event, ‘This Is Oxford’, will take place on 18 October from 7.00 pm, in the bookshop’s Norrington Room, with entry costing just £2.
As well as a series of readings from a variety of Oxford writers – including Lucy Ayrton, Joe A Briggs, Anna Hobson, Dan Holloway and Clarissa Pabi – there will be music from Grey Children. The band, comprising ex-eeebleee and Witches fellow David Griffiths, along with Chris Fulton, Ben Chylinski and Mark Wilden, will play songs from The Black Tapes, a never-released set of songs written by Griffiths from 2001. There will also be readings from Grey Children/Griffiths’ serial audiobook A Man In The Rain.
Oh, and according to the Grey Children website, there will be free wine.
