65daysofstatic chappie Polinski at The Cellar in Oxford, November

65daysofstatic are kind of a big thing, right? They’re greatly loved by a lot of people, and play some puh-retty big venues. Exciting, then, that Polinski, a one-man project from the band’s Paul Wolinski, will be playing the sweaty confines of The Cellar in Oxford soon.

The Modernist Disco, the regular electronic music night run by Space Heroes Of The People, have tempted Polinski – described as ‘the sound of software catching up with what the mind is capable of’, whatever that means – to play on 17 December, along with Aylesbury’s superb 1877 and the enigmatically-named solo performer Lion. Throw in Coloureds doing a DJ set until the early hours, sling a decent ticket price on the whole deal (£5.50 in advance, or £7 on the door), and Bob’s your uncle you can’t say fairer than that to.
