Terrifying ghost

Spooky shenanigans with The Miserable Rich at Oxford Castle

Here’s something a little out of the ordinary. The Miserable Rich, a Brighton-based folkesque trio led by the excitingly-named vocalist James de Malplaquet, are on tour of interesting places in November, to promote new album Miss You In The Days, released on Hallowe’en.

The Oxford date is 2 November, and the venue is Oxford Castle. After recording the album in Britain’s (allegedly) most haunted stately home, Blickling Hall, a series of spooky and bizarre tour venues were thought appropriate, so the crypt, cells and prison exhibition room within Oxford Castle will be taken over by The Miserable Rich along with (also excitingly-named) performance poet Alabaster Deplume, and Oxford singer-songwriter Huck.

Tickets are available here, if you fancy spooking yourself. Here’s the video for The Miserable Rich’s current single ‘On A Certain Night':

Ghost noise: WOOOOOO!
