After their rather fine first release, Trophy Wife’s ‘Bruxism’ EP, the Blessing Force label have announced another two musical nuggets for our, er, nuggety delectation.
Out now is the ‘Dirty White’ EP by Sisterland, whose members you may remember previously as the band Tired Irie, who released at least one record on the proto-Blessing Force label Try Harder. The EP is available now, and has been released as a cassette packaged in a screen-printed sleeve, limited to 100 copies.
Coming along a bit later (on 5 March 2012), the third Blessing Force release will be a new album from Jonquil, Point Of Go. It’s being put out with the help of the Cooperative Music multilabel collective, and it will also be simultaneously released in America by Dovecote Records.
Here are some samples of both Sisterland and Jonquil:
More information can be got from Blessing Force, and retail opportunities abound in their shop. You can check out Jonquil and Sisterland, along with Pet Moon and Motherhood, at the Upstairs with BBC Introducing show taking place at the O2 Academy on 17 December.
