It’s not strictly music news, but it relates to a music venue, so what the hey, it’s nearly Christmas! On Saturday 17 December, The Cellar in Oxford will be running a Christmas gift market during the day: Father Cliftmass’ Pop Up Gift Market. Between the hours of 11.00 am and 6.00 pm, and with no entry fee, a selection of (mainly local) artists and craftspeople will be hawking their wares and assisting you in finding some of those tricky last-minute Christmas presents.
The stallholders are generally connected to Oxford’s music scene, one way or another, so there may well be music-themed bits and pieces on offer. The artists include Theo Peters, Eat Your Heart Out, Stephanie Walker and Andrew Manson, and there will also be what’s being billed as a ‘live art Expo’ – art in action! – with Kleiner Shames, Patch Plummer, Jack Addis, 1995, Will Elsom and Alex Norwood.
It’ll be topped off with mince pies and mulled wine so you can keep warm and sugared-up whilst doing your shopping!
