A load of old punts

Nightshift’s Oxford Punt – all-venue passes now on sale

All-venue tickets for this year’s Oxford Punt – Nightshift magazine’s annual multi-location gig smorgasbord that showcases huge amounts of all that’s good in Oxford music – have just gone on sale. The tickets, which can be bought from the OMN Shop, are strictly limited: there are only 100 available, with no extras available once they’re gone. A Punt Pass will get you in to all of the Oxford venues hosting shows as part of this year’s event on 16 May – The Purple Turtle, The Cellar, The Wheatsheaf, The Duke’s Cut and The Junction. The passes are only £8 each – pretty great value if you use one to check out all twenty acts playing at this year’s Punt.

The Punt has been running almost every year since 1997, and has in its history included early performances by many bands and artists that have gone on to widespread fame and adoration – such as Dustball (now Dive Dive), A Silent Film, Little Fish, Young Knives, Stornoway, (the pre-Foals) Elizabeth and (the pre-Chad Valley/Jonquil) The Modern. The line-up for this year is yet to be announced.
