Win two tickets to Old Skool Academy at O2 Academy 2, Oxford

On 23 March, O2 Academy 2 in Oxford will be dragged kicking and screaming back to the heady days of early ’90s rave and clubbing, as Old Skool Academy whips out the glowsticks, white gloves, whistles and unstoppable urges to chew and grind teeth. The event runs from 11.00 pm to 4.00 am and will feature live performances from Shades Of Rhythm (who hit the top twenty in 1991 with ‘Extacy’) and Liquid (who were at number 14 in 1995 with ‘Sweet Harmony’).

There will also be DJ sets from Marty P, Invisible Man, DJ Jezza, Danny Rose, MC Faze and MC Osprey, and if any of those names mean anything to you, let us know, as we’re clearly old and out of touch.

MusicInOxford.co.uk has a pair of tickets to give away for Old Skool Academy, and it couldn’t be simpler to be in with a chance of nabbing them. To enter, just send an email to bigfishlittlefishcardboardbox@musicinoxford.co.uk – you don’t have to do anything else, although obviously if you want to say ‘hello’ that’d be friendlier than just sending a blank email… the competition will be open until the end of 16 March, and then the winner of the pair of tickets will be picked at random and notified.

Tickets, if you’re not lucky enough to win, are also available from the O2 Academy website.
