Rapture Records (the nice people behind Oxford’s Truck Store and Witney’s, er, Rapture Records) have teamed up with the team responsible for Oxford music documentary film Anyone Can Play Guitar to offer a limited edition, Anyone Can Play Guitar-themed Fender Telecaster guitar. There are only ten of these special guitars in the whole wide world!

They’re asking local songwriters to pen a tune about Oxford music, either past or present. They’ll pick the winner out of all submissions, and that lucky musician will not only get the guitar, but will also be part of Truck Store’s Record Store Day celebrations on 21/22 April, where they’ll perform their song live in the shop.

Entries can either be dropped in (on CD, don’t rock up with an acoustic guitar and give them a live rendition) to Truck Store on Cowley Road, or emailed to truckstore@rapture-online.co.uk.
