As anybody reading this should know, Nightshift has been documenting and supporting Oxford’s music scene for a long time – two hundred monthly editions’ worth, in fact. In its life so far the magazine has covered some of the biggest bands in the world – in the days when they were new local bands – constantly reinforcing what a musically-rich place this is.
The editor Ronan Munro popped up recently on BBC Oxford’s TV news, to talk about the 200th issue, the scene that Nightshift has helped to generate and sustain, and why he continues to put in the effort. Gunning For Tamar are involved, too, explaining what the magazine means to them as a local band on the up.
