Charlbury Riverside Festival launches competition to name festival beer

The brilliant, free, weekend-long Charlbury Riverside Festival, which we reported on a little while ago, have teamed up with Witney-based Wychwood Brewery, who will be producing an exclusive ‘golden summer beer’ for this year’s event.

The festival organisers are running a competition to name this special ale, which will only be on sale at the Riverside Festival this year (16-17 June). All you have to do to enter is choose a name – that’s it. The winner, to be announced on 7 May, will get a set of six t-shirts emblazoned with both the name of the beer, and the name of the winner. Even better than that, they’ll get a free round of drinks at the Riverside Festival. “[Enter the name of your beer here]s all round!”

To enter, you’ll need to be aged 18 or over. If you’re up for it, email your beer name idea, along with your own name, to the festival organisers. You’ve got until midday on 4 May to enter. Good luck!
