Promoters Idle Fret are putting on an ‘Anyone Can Play Guitar Oxford special’ at The Social in London on 24 April. The show includes a screening of Oxford music documentary Anyone Can Play Guitar, an acoustic set by former Ride frontman Mark Gardener, and a full live site from Listing Ships. There will also be DJ sets from Jon Spira and Hank Starrs (director/producer of the film), Matt from Truck Store and Oxedelica.

Rough Trade are offering five pair of tickets to the show – so if you’re up for a trip to London later this month head over to their website to enter the competition. All you need to do is answer a ridiculously simple question.

At the show, Listing Ships will be performing a cover of Ride’s ‘Leave Them All Behind’ which will include Mark Gardener on vocals. Here’s a reminder of what the cover needs to live up to:
