The always inventive, always productive Spring Offensive are currently jaunting around Europe on a string of tour dates, but in late April they’re looking to set up some Oxfordshire gig dates to celebrate the launch of the physical edition of their new release ‘Worry Fill My Heart’.
Why is this of interest to you, dear reader? Because they want to play a series of intimate house party shows in quick succession, and they’re inviting people to donate their house for the occasion. These are the dates and (approximate) times they’re looking to fill:
- Friday 27 April: 9.00 pm
- Saturday 28 April: 10.00 am
- Saturday 28 April: 1.30 pm
- Saturday 28 April: 5.00 pm
- Saturday 28 April: 9.00 pm
- Sunday 29 April: 7.00 pm
Yes, you read that right – four individual shows on the Saturday, book-ended with one on Friday and one on Sunday.
Do you want the band to come and play in your gaff? Here’s what they say: “It doesn’t matter if it’s someone’s place of work, their living room, or a small kitchen – we’ll play a show wherever. The only thing is that we might have to restrict them to within manageable driving distances from Oxford, but aside from that anything’s fair game. The idea is that we have a few approximate time slots available, and people can drop us a line at party@springoffensive.co.uk to stake a claim for any one of them.”
So, away you go! Get in touch with them if you fancy a musical visit from Spring Offensive. ‘Worry Fill My Heart’ is available now on iTunes, and you can check out the video for the song at the band’s website.
