There’s a new three-track single out there in the world, and it’s by The Old Grinding Young, who are still new enough to still have ‘featuring members of ute’ mentioned whenever their name is invoked. ‘V.I.P Single’ is available in a couple of ways, because that’s how the twenty-first century music industry seems to work these days.
Firstly, you can stream the tracks online for free, through BandCamp. Because BandCamp is clever, you can even do that right here and now:
Secondly, because you’re a generous person that wants to support local music, you can pay anything from £1 up for downloads of the tracks, that you can keep on your iPod/iPhone/computer/hovering space music player for ever. There’s a link to do that in the player above.
Thirdly, if you’re really a genuine hardcore lover and collector of music, there’s a limited edition physical release, which takes the form of a CD in hand-crafted, hand-painted wallet packaging. Those are limited to 50, and cost £3 apiece. Ollie from the band tells us that “the CD even has a blood spray effect”. Sweet!
Here’s the BandCamp page for the single, and here is The Old Grinding Young’s website.
