The Natural Course Of Things is an installation-based exhibition running at The Old Boot Factory on St Mary’s Road in Oxford from 12 to 20 May. It includes work by three independent artists – Sarah Mayhew, Jon Barker and Joseph Fairweather. It’s being presented by Launch Collaborative who have invited charitable music promoters Audioscope to put together a gig to mark the end of the exhibition.
So, on 19 May at The Old Boot Factory, a special Audioscope gig is being held within the exhibition space. Billed as a ‘quiet’ show to fit comfortably with the artworks on offer, the evening gig will see The Scholars, The Half Rabbits, Richard Walters and Phil McMinn perform sets, with all money raised through ticket sales being donated to Shelter, the national homelessness and bad housing charity. Audioscope events have been raising money for Shelter since 2001, and they have so far donated over £23,000 for the charity.
Tickets for the gig, and more information about it, are available at WeGotTickets, for £5 apiece. The exhibition will be open between 12.00 pm and 6.00 pm every day from 12 to 20 May.
