If you’re one o’them there ‘creative types’ and fancy partaking in a bit of album cover design, then here’s some news that should tweak your paintbrush, be it digital or physical. Tamara And The Martyrs, purveyors of “a similar starkness and sense of turmoil to Jacques Brel” (thanks, Nightshift!), are running a competition to design the cover of their forthcoming album.
Details are somewhat scant, but they say that “the winning designer will receive a free copy of the album, a t-shirt with their design on it and be invited on stage at our album launch gig to be personally serenaded by the band”. Nifty! If you want to push some pixels around, or do an oil painting, or whatever you feel will be right for the band, you can contact lead singer Tamara Parsons-Baker for more information.
