Lots going on over the weekend of Saturday 16 June and Sunday 17 June. For a start there’s the brilliant, and free, Riverside Festival in Charlbury – the annual celebration of all things local music, in a wonderful and relaxed setting (see riversidefestival.charlbury.com). In Cropredy on Sunday 17 June there’s the rather more ‘out there’ Tinderbox Festival of Noise, Improv and Experimental Musics (www.tinderboxfestival.co.uk), which promises to challenge and entertain. Finally, in the evening on Saturday 16 June there’s the latest ‘Upstairs in association with BBC Introducing in Oxford’ gig at the O2 Academy 2, Oxford, with an impressive and diverse selection of local talent that includes Richard Walters, Family Machine, Listing Ships, The Dreaming Spires and The Gullivers.
