Gunning For Tamar - Dark Sky Tourism artwork

New single from Gunning For Tamar out 6 August – free download and special edition

After a pretty stunning set at the recent Truck Festival, Gunning For Tamar are keeping up their frenetic pace of creativity with a new single that’ll be released on Monday 6 August. ‘Dark Sky Tourism’, released by Alcopop! Records, will be available both as a free download and in a special physical edition.

The download single – and it really is a single, just the one track – will be available to stream and download for free from 6 August at Gunning For Tamar’s Bandcamp internetwebpresence.

The physical edition, available through the Alcopop! Records online store, continues the label/band teamup’s propensity for doing interesting things – remember, they released a wristwatch single last time. ‘Dark Sky Tourism’ can be bought for £10 and for that you’ll get a USB stick featuring the track along with some more GFT goodies, as well as a limited edition A2 screenprint designed for the release by artist (and Johnny Foreigner guitarist) Lewes Herriot.

‘Dark Sky Tourism’ was recorded with assistance from Tom Stanley, who’s also worked with The Cure and, er, Sugababes, and mixed by Chris Sheldon, who’s been at the mixing controls previously for Foo Fighters, Biffy Clyro and Oceansize. The track is already getting coverage from NME and Radio 1, should such things tweak your proverbial nipples.
