Well stone me, stone the crows, like a rolling stone and everybody must get stoned, who’d have thunk it but the new edition of Nightshift is out already. It seems like just a couple of weeks went by since the last one. Four weeks, in fact. It’s monthly. It’s available both online and at venues, shops and pubs throughout Oxfordshire.
This month’s cover feature is an interview with pop fun-bunnies Alphabet Backwards. There’s lots of news from the local music scene, as well as reviews of new releases from Richard Walters, Seabuckthorn and Alphabet Backwards. Get your gig-going month in order with the comprehensive gig guide, and read about what you did last month with live reviews covering Alabama Shakes, Wallingford Bunkfest and loads more. There’s an introduction to Glass Animals, a look back at what was going on in Oxford music five, ten and twenty years ago, and the usual two-page Demo reviews section. Demo of the month is 1877 (who aren’t from Oxford but, well, whatever), in the Demo Dumper is The Bourbons.
