According to their own Facebook page, Traps are “like Juliette and the Licks meeting PJ Harvey at the meat counter in Waitrose”. If that uncomfortable image isn’t descriptive enough, you can check out their music for real with a double A-side single that they have slated for release on 8 December.
The tracks on the single are to be ‘I Won’t Crawl’ and ‘Stop The Machine’, and it’ll be available in physical form (ie, CD) as well as via fancy electronic means such as Spotify and iTunes. They’re playing a couple of gigs on the day of the single’s release – firstly at Oxford’s Truck Store at 6.00 pm, and then at the Wheatsheaf in Oxford from around 8.00 pm. The in-store will be free, the Wheatsheaf gig will cost an amount of money that’s yet to be shared.
