Here come Junkie Brush to dump a load of blackened snow all over your Christmas tree. A three-track single that they originally released in August has just been made available as a free download.

The single includes ‘Placebo Perfecto’ and ‘Welcome To The Monkeysphere’, along with a remix of the latter by Space Heroes Of The People. The two core tracks nail everything that’s good about Junkie Brush – a healthily misanthropic feel to their riff-centred hard rock take on classic punk aggression, including a smattering of naughty swear words, so cover grandma’s ears if you’re listening around the Christmas lunch table.

The Space Heroes Of The People remix, ‘The Monkeysphere – Space Heroes RMX’ turns it all a bit Kraftwerk-go-Pet-Shop-Boys, with the kind of strident synth tones that those Space Heroes people like so much.
