Ashmolean Museum to host new ‘RAP’ workshop

RAP, or Rhythm And Poetry, is a new workshop event to take place for the first time at the Ashmolean Museum in Oxford on 23 February.

Running from 11.00 am to 4.00 pm, it will see young people from across Oxfordshire using the collections and buildings of the Ashmolean as inspiration to write, and then perform, their own musical pieces.

RAP is being run by BG Records and the Young Women’s Music Project, in association with the Artisjustaword arts charity. It’s a free event, with no booking necessary, and anybody that’s 14 years of age or older and interested in taking part should just turn up!

More information about RAP can be found at the Facebook event page. Find out more about the organisers at the websites of BG Records, Young Women’s Music Project and Artisjustaword.
