Wick-wick-wicked, the good times are here again with the release of this month’s Nightshift. It’s out now, in both electronic and print formats, and it should be read by anybody with even a passing interest in Oxford’s music scene. It’s available both online and at venues, shops and pubs throughout Oxfordshire.
This month’s cover feature is a rare interview with tuneful multimedia scenemakers Pet Moon. There’s also lots of news from the local music scene, as well as reviews of new releases from Coma Wall/Undersmile, Asher Dust, Vienna Ditto, Gunning For Tamar, Agness Pike, Desert Storm, The Graceful Slicks and Jordan O’Shea. There are tons of live music events listed in the comprehensive gig guide, and you can read about what’s already happened with live reviews including Of Monsters And Men, Chantel McGregor and loads more. There’s an introduction to Bear Trap, a look back at what was going on in Oxford music five, ten and twenty years ago, and the usual two-page Demo reviews section. Demo of the month is from Ragdoll, in the Demo Dumper is Andy Robbins.
