The Oxjam Oxford Takeover Festival team are on the hunt for fundraising and events volunteers to help with their plans. They’ll be helping to arrange a series of ‘warm-up’ events throughout the summer, leading up to the main Takeover festival which will take place in October. Planned event ideas include gigs, festivals, BBQs, family activity days and (presumably) anything else that a keen mind can dream up.
If you’ve got time to dedicate to the cause, which will be rewarded with the warm glow of helping to raise money for Oxfam as well as, according to the team’s volunteer manager Steph Avis, “meeting new people and having some volunteering experience to add to your CV”, they’d love to hear from you.
Up for it? You can contact them for more information at info@oxjamoxford.co.uk, or take a look at their website to see what they’ve done before, how they do things and how you can get involved. Specifically, they’re after fundraising, marketing and events production people. There’s a video of highlights from 2012’s Takeover here.
