Otway The Movie: Rock And Roll’s Greatest Failure is a barnstorming movie documentary of cult musician John Otway’s rollercoaster career, spanning around 35 years and taking in punk, chart-busting hits, obscurity and outsider respect. Funding by Otway’s fans, the film premiered in London, but with a twist – its final scenes included footage of the premiere, and were cut together and finalised as the earlier parts of the film were being watched!
Oxford’s Phoenix Picturehouse have a one-off screening of the film on Thursday 22 August, at 6.00 pm. Find out more about that, and buy tickets for it, here.
Thanks to our buddies at Phoenix for kindly giving MusicInOxford.co.uk a pair of tickets to give away to one lucky reader. The winner has been chosen at random, and notified!
