Here’s a new video from Oxford’s Vera Grace. ‘Carrier’ is one of four tracks on their The Lucifer Effect EP, released earlier this year and available from iTunes. The EP also features ‘Restless King’, ‘The Father’s Eyes’ and ‘The Lucifer Effect’.

Not sure what the song is all about – the vocals are impressively gruff and strangulated – but based on the video, perhaps it’s something to do with it being difficult to read some big books. Or something. Trite comments aside, it’s a pretty tough-edged tune that hurls a few slabs of noise around in a controlled-yet-chaotic kind of a way.

Vera Grace play the Wheatsheaf in Oxford on Thursday 5 September, along with Let’s Talk Daggers and a couple of wolfish bands, Sexwolf! and I Cried Wolf.
