Agness Pike: boingboingboing

They may be slightly sinister, decidedly warped invididuals, but Agness Pike are collectively a generous bunch. As such, they’ve just released a new track, ‘boingboingboing’, and it’ll cost you precisely nothing to listen to it or even to download it. Why, it’s like an early Christmas present! Or perhaps an early Hallowe’en frightener.

It’s a rolling, chunky growler of a track, with the band’s rather unique vocals coming off like John Lydon being serious about making joke music. It’s nearly six minutes long, too, making it rather a mini-epic of noise. Agness Pike, coincidentally enough, play a gig tonight (26 October) at The Wheatsheaf in Oxford, along with The Grafham Water Sailing Club and Kid Kin. “That’s a surprisingly eccentric line-up”, you might say – that’s right, it’s a Gappy Tooth Promotions gig…
