Momo Theatre, an Oxford-based organisation that produces presentations, workshops and shows, is putting together a comedy sketch show to be held at Pegasus Theatre in Oxford in early May 2014.
They are looking for a small band or solo artist to perform their own work at points during the show, and to provide musical accompaniment during some sketches. The sketches will be performed by an experienced double act from Momo Theatre, and they’ve suggested the type of music they’d like to include:
“Ideally we’d like a female singer-led, acoustic duo or trio who could play their own songs three or four times during the show, and play accompaniment during some of the sketches. We’re open about style, but the show is aimed at a very wide audience, and we have a traditional double act grounding – so we’d be looking for a group who would be happy to have fun messing around with accompaniment and parodying jazz/cabaret/circus standards.”
No fee is offered for the show, but Momo say that they would definitely consider negotiating a box office split. If it sounds of interest and you want to find out more or contact Momo, you can do so here.
The shows will take place on 2 and 3 May, and a production week at the theatre will begin on 28 April.
