Cornbury deckchair

Win a deckchair signed by Cornbury music stars at Childish Things event

All of the acts that performed at last year’s Cornbury Music Festival signed a Cornbury-branded deckchair, which is to be offered as a ‘bucket raffle’ prize at a comedy and music event that takes place on 25 March.

Childish Things, a fundraiser for the Helen & Douglas House children’s and young adults’ hospice, will feature comedians and musicians including Jimmy Carr and Rob Brydon. It runs on both 24 and 25 March, with tickets starting at £25 apiece, and on the 25th the deckchair will be raffled. To enter, attendees write their name on a banknote and throw it into a bucket that will be passed around on the night – ‘bucket raffle’, you see? – and the winner will be selected at random.

The deckchair was signed by Echo & The Bunnymen, Van Morrison, Keane, Imelda May and a ton of other musicians.

In previous years, similar raffles have raised over £7,000 for the good cause during the event’s 20-minute interval. Tickets for both nights of Childish Things are available now – even if you don’t enter the raffle and win, you’re still doing good!
