There’s a lot you can glean from a band’s Facebook or BandCamp blurb – at least about their sense of humour. So, Wardens, according to their BandCamp page, “are a three piece band from Oxford. Formed in the bowels of Oxfordshire, they consist of two brothers; one ginger, one not, and a big tree. The rest is, as they say, history.”

This Town is the band’s first EP, released a little while ago and available for free streaming. It’s three tracks – ‘Chronic’, ‘Middle Ground’ and ‘This Town’ – of pretty solid, chug-a-lug indie rock that’s free of pretension and pointless widdly-ness.
