Look’s like the sun’s on its way back, and summer will come soon enough anyhow, so it’ll be shorts’n’daytime-drinking-a-go-go pretty soon. Celebrate with a sun-kissed (as much as a black and white publication can be) new edition of Nightshift – as the new one just came out!
This month’s cover feature is an interview with Mark Gardener. There’s all the news from the local music scene, and reviews of new releases including Stornoway, The Balkan Wanderers, Maiians, Duotone, Ghosts In The Photographs, Nubiyan Twist and Gift Of Blindness. There are lots of gigs in the comprehensive gig guide, and you can read about what’s already happened with live reviews including Glass Animals, Bug Prentice and lots more. There’s an introduction to The Balkan Wanderers, a look back at what was going on in Oxford music five, ten and twenty years ago, and the usual two-page Demo reviews section. Demo of the month is from Ablu, in the Demo Dumper is Cosmic Will.
