Oxford Contemporary Music (OCM) have put out a call for musicians and bands to get involved with this year’s OCM Open event. The annual happening takes the form of two gigs at Pegasus Theatre in Oxford – one for under 18s and one for those who are older.

This year’s OCM Open is backed by BBC Introducing in Oxford, itself a proponent of all that’s good and new in Oxford music, and OCM describe the event as a “showcase of the best new music in the region… a focus on original creations and compositions. Any genre is considered”.

Bands and musicians who’d like to put themselves forward for the Open are invited to send demos, MP3s or links to the OCM team at info@ocmevents.org. The deadline for submissions is 5.00 pm on Tuesday 30 April, and the gigs will take place in June.
