Currently on a UK tour and promoting their new genre-defying debut album Leave To remain, the Wara sound cannot be pigeonholed. Taking a tropical template with its roots in Cuba’s most danceable rhythms – timba, salsa, rumba, cha-cha-cha, they effortlessly bring in the influence of being London-based in the here and now, adding soul, hip hop and reggae to create a hot Cuban-UK soundclash!

The youthful nine-piece includes three female vocalists and a rapper (including Jaunita Euka, niece of legendary Congolese musician Franco), drums, bass, percussion, guitar, keys and sax. They’ve been setting dancefloors alight on the global scene for the last three years, including playing at Glastonbury, The Big Chill, Secret Garden Party and Ronnie Scott’s to name but a few.
