Based between Birmingham and Bristol, the eight-piece collective Antelope innovatively take elements of soul, jazz, dubstep, drum’n’bass and jazzy deep house to conjure up the sound they define as their ‘Midlands soul’.

They are comprised of a solid rhythm section, keys from band leader Dorian Childs and a fat four part horn section full of wonderfully luscious harmonies. This groove machine is topped off by the soulful female vocals of Taan Parisse, resulting in a live dance music experience of original compositions oozing depth and soul. The band originally formed in early 2012; musicians with backgrounds in jazz for a one-off event. But from the outset it was clear to all that it would be a project to build on, the strength and depth of their collective musicianship shining through from the outset.
