Tertium Quid 02/12/13 posterAdam Barnes is an Oxford born songwriter and performer, currently residing in the countryside that surrounds the city. He is a folk artist; a haunting songwriter and an honest performer waiting for some more people to take a step back and listen in. This small tour comes ahead of the release of his debut album The Land, The Sea & Everything Lost Beneath.

Matt Simons: After a feature on a popular Dutch soap opera in January, his song ‘With You’ jumped into the top 10 of the iTunes charts in the Netherlands and subsequently went gold. Other highlights so far this year include a sold-out club tour, a guest judge spot on The X-Factor NL, a top ten radio single and a record deal with Sony Music. Often compared to Jamie Cullum, John Mayer and Adam Levine, Simons also infuses his piano based pop-rock with hints of jazz and R&B.

Chris Ayer is a Brooklyn, NY-based singer-songwriter. Growing up in Virginia, he got his start singing along to tapes of Elvis and Paul Simon on car rides. In the last few years, Ayer has played over 600 shows in the US, UK and Europe, and released four EPs, two full-length albums, and a live CD. Beyond strictly folk music, elements of pop, rock, roots and soul influence his sound.

Welcome To Peepworld: Striking and soaring vocals from Fi McCall paired with minimal but powerful guitar from Bert Aubert, come together to create haunting and some of most strongly emotive acoustic folk you’re likely to hear. Formed from the ashes of Oxford legends International Jetsetters, this pair are worth getting down early for.
